New Release: Blue Moon by Wendy Corsi Staub

Welcome to fictional Mundy’s Landing, New York, where a century ago, a family awakened to find the corpse of a schoolgirl lovingly tucked into a spare bedroom. A note beneath her pillow read simply, Sleep Well Until Tomorrow. No one knew who she was, where she’d come from—or why a dastardly predator had staged the odd tableau beneath a stranger’s roof.

A week later, the bizarre scenario was repeated at a neighboring home. And then at a third. The victims, never identified, were buried in the local churchyard, their murderer never caught.

Every year on the anniversary of the historic crimes, the Mundy’s Landing Historical Society increases its longstanding reward to anyone who can solve the Sleeping Beauty Murders. Colloquially dubbed “Mundypalooza,” the event draws an annual influx of armchair detectives, true crime buffs, the media, curious tourists, and ghoulish crackpots.

July 2016 marks a hundred years since the predator prowled the quiet streets and private homes. All three original Murder Houses are still standing—vintage Victorian houses occupied by ordinary families, just as they were a century ago. Unwitting families, with no idea that a shadowy figure named Holmes has solved the notorious 1916 murders and is planning deadly nocturnal visits to each Murder House.
