My review:
Heat Magazine said, "Pick this up at your peril: you won't get a thing done till it's finished." Oh, and they were so correct. This book first appealed to me as I am from a very small town where you know just about everyone and everyone knows your business. I think many often think of small towns have a slower pace and people are hard working and spend their free time on family. Well, that is the case, yet there is so much more and Jill Mansell captures it perfectly in her book. Affairs, gossip, meddling, and hot romance are all entwined to keep the reader turning the pages. It was realistic and made me think back to when I was growing up in the small town and all the gossip and drama took place. I think all will enjoy reading this book and can relate to it in that everyone knows someone like the characters in this book.

I don't listen to a lot of gossip, but I have been hearing about the Demi Moore Ashton Kutcher gossip. I can't figure out why he'd even think of cheating on her. I certainly hope he didn't.

I don't really pay attention to celebrity gossip but our TV news keeps talking about Lindsey Lohan & her going into rehab at the Ford Clinic.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read "Take a Chance On Me" (I keep singing those words, isn't that a song title too?). Regarding small towns, my town is so small that one day my daughter with her teenage sarcasm told her H.S. counselor that her ambition was to open up the first gas station here :)
