I am thankful for my family. I have a sister who had stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and was given a 10% chance of living when diagnosed and she is now 9 yrs out from a bone marrow transplant. I have also had my health scare issues with DVT 11 yrs ago. This past Spring my father had a health issue while out of the country .
ReplyDeleteAll this comes to light as we give thanks for the family and love that surrounds us.

I am most thankful for my 3 beautiful kids and my loving husband. Also, every year my middle son grows and becomes smarter and I see how well he talks and hears, I am thankful the doctor who came into my hospital room after I had him was a thousand times wrong. My middle son was born with Microtia Artresia, he only has one ear. After he was born, I had a doctor come in who didn't know much of the condition and tell me all the side effects that sometimes comes with it and said he wouldn't be able to hear and would need to do sign language. We have been very lucky compared to some other children we met who have this. He has above average in his good ear and can hear and talk just fin. He sometimes has a hard time localizing where a sound comes from, but he is doing great. He just started Kindergarten and this is where my worry came in. I have much to be thankful for this year since my worries about school seem silly now. He is well ahead of his class and is quick and smart and his teacher raves about him :) That is everything I am thankful for

In Canada we celebrated thanksgiving a while back.. what I am most thankful for is that we are not buried in snow yet, allowing me to actually make it downtown to the (indoor) farmer's market and used bookstore. And family health of course :p
